What kind of education should I pursue if I want to be someone that designs and/or sculpts action figures?

Currently I’m going to the art center design college for studio arts and focusing on sculpture. But I’m having doubts that this is the right place for me and that it will get me where I want to be. I want to sculpt and design things like action figures, movie figurines and that sort of thing.

Fine arts or multimedia arts would be a good choice for you. You might think right now that it’s not the right place for you because you don’t really get to do the things you like, but theory is a big chunk of what you need to go through. When you got it down pat, then you’ll see how options begin to open and you are more equipped to do things your way.
