Is there any store that sells Metal Gear Solid action figures?

Monday, January 4th, 2010

Is there like a general store that I can find a MGS action figure of Solid Snake, or Metal Gear Rex, Ray, Shagohod, etc.? Is it weird that I like these type of action figures?

You can probably find MGS action figures in a comic book store. But you should just get the action figures online. And no it is not weird because metal gear solid is the shit!!! especially the first one for playstation.

What is the title of the young adult book about a boy whose action figures come to life?

Friday, January 1st, 2010

I remember a few of the action figures were aliens and their heads had been bitten off by the family dog. They still came alive though because they could breathe through their belly buttons!

This is probably not even close, but one I read the first sentence, it reminded me of the Indian in the Cupboard by Lynne Reid Banks. But then I raed about the aliens part…

Why do people buy action figures but not open them?

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

When I buy action figures I open them. The fun you have playing with them outweighs the benifits of selling them later. Then those people get old and regret not getting them action figures out and playing with them.

Those are investors, hoping the toy becomes a collectible and demand a much higer price later. Most of those who buy these never got the chance to play with them when they were kids. It’s a pity they had to wait that long just to find out the toys never really wasn’t that much fun to play with anyway.

It is good my son is not one of them. On the way back home after shopping, he tears up the box and starts playing right there in the car. By the time we reach home, the toy goes straight to the glass cabinet to pose there ’til eternity.

Will my plastic action figures degrade over time and can i prevent it ?

Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009

I know that plastic will degrade over time and become brittle and break will the same thing happen to my collection of action figures ? is there any way to slow the process down ?

I know that light can dry out and fade colors, I don’t know if it will degrade plastic, but light is why they don’t expose the declaration of independence, the mona lisa, or the first american flag to a lot of light

The titles says it all. Are there any other action figures of characters that Patrick Stewart has played, besides from Star Trek and X-Men?

Probably not … those were his two big franchise roles.

At what age should you stop taking an interest in playing with your Transformers action figures and why?

Sunday, November 1st, 2009

This is an important question, believe it or not, to some people in their late teens and early 20’s who have obsessive compulsions to amass large collections of plastic toys to satisfy some twisted urge that nobody can explain.

In my opinion, playing with dolls and action figures should naturally end at the age of 14 as kids grow into adulthood.

It varies from people to people. Honestly though I never had a thought of not playing with my old action figures, but as you get older your mind starts to change you like different things. Eventually some people get different opinions on what makes them happy, and what brings joy to them. Keep playing with action figures, or whatever you might think is kidish, if you never change well… Who care as long as you’re having fun. If you do, hey you got new hobbies.

My sister and I have been playing the game for a while now, and we still have a couple of unfinished tasks, the armor for Spencer and the action figures for Vic. Could anyone tell us where we can find the items we need?

Andrew, MySims is my brother’s favorite game.

Do any companies make non Superhero action figures?

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

My son really likes toys at his age, and I decided to buy him a few more toys to add to his collection. But now for his birthday, my son wants regular action figures of everyday people (police officers, doctors, lawyers, parents walking outside with their kids, cats, dogs, etc. To make his superhero world seem more realistic. haha.

So does anyone know if I’d be able to find any companies that sell toys like this? And if anyone can recommend any superhero toys that he would old would like would be great.

I’m sure there are.

Here’s a site run by a novelty store in Seattle. They have a bunch of off beat action figures, including some of every day people.

I’m sure there are others out there, but this was the first site that came to mind. I hope this helps.
