How can I get red stains out of my stuffed animal?

Tuesday, February 9th, 2010

I have a stuffed panda bear, and for Christmas I wrapped a cheap red ribbon around its neck. I just took it off and its stained! It’s not very red, just a little pink. I can not wash this stuffed animal, the first time I did it became very rough. This stuffed animal is a very sentimental to me, so any help would be appreciated!

q-tip and peroxide dab the areas and use a napkin absorb fluid.

Thanks!
Cooking it the day before makes a lot of sense, why didn’t I think of that!
THANK YOU!

you sure can…. but when i make baked ziti, i actually bake it the day before and reheat it the following day…. it tastes even better the second day!

I want to make stuffed turkey breasts with stove top stuffing, or something similar or better. Anybody have any recipes?

Make the stuffing (use some chicken stock for some of the liquid) and stir in some chopped walnuts and chopped defrosted frozen spinach. Place under the skin with a pat of butter and cook in a roasting pan with a little water in the bottom at 425 for about 30 minutes covered and then uncover and cook til brown

How to finish raw fabric edges on stuffed animals?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

I want to sew a stuffed animal with a main body part and small pieces of fabric sewn on top of the body (think spots on a cow). What can I do to finish the raw edges of the small pieces?

Hand sewing techniques would be preferred, but machine techniques are welcome, as well.

Blanket stitch around the edge– attach and fray proof at the same time.

Or use fusible interfacing on the back, then cut out the spots and attach by whatever method– the fusible will help prevent fraying.

Or do turned edge or raw edge applique techniques: http://www.quiltingworks.com/howto/applique101.htm

What should I serve with Apple Stuffing stuffed chicken breast?

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

I’m cooking for my mother and my brother tonight, and I was planning on making Apple Stuffing, stuffed Chicken Breast. I wanted a starch or grain and a vegetable/salad side, but I want it to taste good and fit with the dish. So what two side dishes would you recommend?

I have two good ideas for a salad:

Caesar Coleslaw

1 pkg pre-made coleslaw
1/4-1/2 cup shredded parmesean cheese
1/2 pkg caesar croutons
1 bottle creamy caesar dressing

Toss first three ingredients together. Add enough dressing to coat. It’s even good the next day!

Cabbage Crunch Salad

½ head cabbage (or 1-2 pkg coleslaw mix)
4 green onions
2 T sesame seeds
½ cup slivered almonds
1 pkg Ramen Noodles, crushed
2 T sugar
1 pkg chicken flavoring, from noodles
½ tsp pepper
3 T cider vinegar
1 tsp salt
½ cup oil

Chop and set aside cabbage and onions. Toast in 350 oven the sesame seeds, almonds, and crushed noodles. For the dressing, mix together the sugar, chicken flavoring, pepper, vinegar, salt, and oil. 15 min. before serving, mix together the cabbage and onions with the dressing. Right before serving, add the toasted ingredients.

Hope you find one that works for you!

Why do my stuffed baked mushroom turn (almost0 black?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

We love stuffed mushrooms . But when I bake them @350 for
15/20 mts, they seem to turn very dark brown-almost black.
They taste good but they do not appear good.
Also, while baking they leave a lot of water/moisture. Does any one know What I can do to solve these two ‘problems’?
Thanks.

it shows they are done.
have you noticed when you cook meat it turns from red to brown to black.?
most foods change color when cooked

let them dry on a paper towel in sunlight if possible for a couple hours before you cook them
