That comment is really a result of not understanding genetics. First of all traits you have may not manifest themselves in the parents and only appear in the children. Second it may not even be a gene, it may just be a random combination of traits which would only occur in the child.

I don’t think that Homosexuality is biological. It just doesn’t make sense. Why would a double helix exist if it is designed to not reproduce. If Homosexuality is genetic then there would be a very small amount of it in our population. Saying gayness is genetic is like saying 20% of the human population have no sex organs (ovaries testicles). It can’t be because by natural selection these genes wouldn’t be passed on. Just simply by the nature of the facts it can’t be genetic.
