For those of you … For those of you that got the Ken doll for Christmas, maybe your parents were actually playing GI Joe with you. They got you a CIVILIAN (Ken) ready to sign up. It was up to you to put him through boot and change him from a lowly Maggot to a lean, mean, killing machine of a Marine.
Hey, i can remember … Hey, i can remember back in 1964 I asked for a GI Joe of Christmas and instead got a Ken Doll….I was crushed! My folks thought a 5-year old wouldn’t notice??? Come on!
I played with GI … I played with GI Joes as a kid and never wanted to join the military. I still play with GI Joes and I STILL don’t want to join the military. YOU learn the truth
Train up those … Train up those little soldiers to go get killed fighting the big bad imaginary Al CIAeda. Got to keep the military industrial complex going.

An original 1964 GI … An original 1964 GI Joe in MINT unopened condition with the helmet, rifle, field jacket, and knapsack, would be worth quite a bit, say as much as a Babe Ruth baseball card in MINT condition. Unfortunately, most people sell their stuff off as kids, not knowing their true value as collectibles.
On eBay they go for … On eBay they go for anywhere from $50. to $175. and up depending on their condition and rarity. The figures from the 80′s go for $8. to $400. depending on popularity (which causes them to be less circulated) and whether they are still in the original package unopened. The 80′s seem to be more collectible.
Actually, they did. … Actually, they did. In 1966-67 Hasbro released a German Stormtrooper and a Japanese Imperial soldier, plus a French, British, Russian and Aussie soldiers. Now they’re the most sought after GI Joe collectables and very pricey, too.

“What kinda geek maneuver is THIS? I’ve seen tougher GI Joes than you! I mean before they go that sissy “LIFE-LIKE HAIR” fuzz and KUNG-FU GRIP crud. An’ also before they got shrunk down, the poor dude. I’m talking original PLASTIC hair, fatigue-wearin’, SCAR-on-on-the-face, twelve inch tall, TOUGH GUY GI Joe!”

They are one of the most professional forces I’ve trained with and that includes the Brits,Germans,French. The Canadians have a long history not just of peace keeping but proudly defending the western alliance around the world.
