    o, well they should have bubbling holes on top, like in the video, if the holes are all the way through the pancake and not just on top then you need to make the batter a bit thicker, maybe add 2 tbs of flour and then pour the batter thicker in the pan, do not thin it out. THis should correct the problem.

    Thank you for all the videos..Trust me I am going to need these in time due. At any rate: you could add cherries on the open end, they look cute. We call them asafeer (why? I have no clue). In regards to deep frying the atayef, to save on calories, you could bake them in theoven fr a little bit with a little (samneh-arabic butter) on each piece, then put the ater (simple sugar), great also. Best!
