I wanted to borrow mw2 from my friend and save it on my hard disk. Will the console overheat or somthing?
Saving the game to your Hard Drive will help reduce loading screens, help save your DVD drive so it will last longer, and help reduce heat not increase it. I do it for every game that I know I am going to be playing alot. It is a great way to increase the life of your console not harm it. So you should do it.

No it definitely wont, I highly recommend it, I was playing it when my xbox fell over, huge scratch and I couldn’t do anything about it. Lukily I borrowed my friends and installed it to my hard drive, now I use the scratched disk and it works
Just to let you know, even though you have it on your hard drive you will still need a valid disc.
Good luck.
